Zoleka Mandela Is Dead
South Africa is in mourning following the tragic passing of Zoleka Mandela, the granddaughter of the nation’s first democratically elected President, Nelson Mandela. Zoleka, an author and cancer warrior, passed away on the evening of 25th September.

The Mandela family confirmed her demise, revealing that Zoleka had been admitted to a hospital on 18th September for ongoing treatment related to metastatic cancer. This aggressive form of cancer had spread to multiple parts of her body, including her hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain, and spinal cord. Recent medical scans indicated significant disease progression, including fibrosis in the lungs and several emboli.
Zoleka’s battle with cancer was public knowledge, as she frequently updated her fans and followers about her health journey. On 17th September, just days before her passing, she took to Instagram to share a health update. She revealed that CT scans had detected blood clots and fibrosis in her lung, which explained the chest pains she had been experiencing. Despite the challenges, Zoleka remained optimistic, expressing gratitude that her condition was still treatable.
