Teezo Touchdown Named Apple Music’s Up Next Artist
Apple Music today revealed Teezo Touchdown, a rapper and vocalist, as the newest member of its Up Next series. This is Apple Music’s monthly artist programme designed to find, highlight, and develop up-and-coming artists.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to be the January Up Next artist for 2024 and I’m looking forward to the other artists who will push music forward for the rest of the year,” said Teezo. “Thank you to everyone at Apple Music.”
With collaborations with Drake, Don Toliver, and Lil Yachty, support from hip-hop icon André 3000, a debut album that defies genres, and appearances on songs with other Texan rappers Travis Scott and Lil Yachty, Teezo is forging his own sound that pays tribute to all the genres that have influenced him as an artist.
Teezo walks fans through a typical day in his hometown of Beaumont, Texas, in his exclusive Up Next short film, which debuted today, and explains what makes his sound so distinctive. “I’m currently creating a sound that I call ‘rock and boom,'” he says to Apple Music. “It’s R&B with a boom that will rock the world, the intensity of rock, and the penmanship of hip-hop”.
