Midrand-born trap artist Scumie (real name Zamazitha Nkala Jordan Mnqandi) has made huge strides on the SA scene with her new age rapping style and dulcet vocal tone.
Having collaborated with global brands like Adidas and Stimorol, Scumie spent 2023 cementing her online presence and experimenting with her sound, releasing the free-flowing track ‘Quick Fix’ featuring Roiii and DopeNation, as well as collaborating with Amapiano giant Uncle Waffles on ‘Morroco‘ off of her EP, ‘Asylum’.
“I am really honoured to be on the cover of Rap Life, my favourite playlist on Apple Music,” Scumie tells Apple Music. “I never thought I’d see this day coming I can’t lie and I am truly grateful. I am feeling an overwhelming amount of shock because it’s like, omg WHAT?! The COVER?! Period! We did that. Keep grinding.”
