DJ Zinhle Responds To Tweeps Questioning Her Family Dynamics

DJ Zinhle has had enough of social media users weighing in on her family dynamics and has told naysayers to keep their opinions to themselves.

Zinhle’s husband Mörda shot up trends lists recently after tweeps said they found it inappropriate for him to wear an AKA tribute T-shirt by Cultish which was launched months after the rapper was gunned down in Durban.

Zinhle, a mother to two — her firstborn daughter from a relationship with AKA, her second-born the daughter of Mörda — has a family which includes Nadia Nakai and AKA’s relatives.

While many have shared different views regarding Zinhle and her family’s way of doing things, she recently took to Twitter saying the structure they had set up was in the children’s best interest.

“While we absolutely respect and can appreciate the different opinions about our lives, our number one priority is and will always be Kairo and Saint … their wellbeing is more important to us than any opinion or ridicule you throw at us,” she wrote.

“Our family structure is built on peace, love, support and the wellbeing of our kids … We will continue in this way, it really doesn’t matter how many times there are debates about us … maybe this is what needs to happen for people to start unlearning pride-driven habits that don’t benefit our kids.”

Images of Zinhle spending quality time with Nadia and AKA’s family flooded the timeline two months ago.

The DJ went live on Instagram, telling trolls she had no reason to stop getting along with anyone she had built relationships with over the years through her baby’s father.

“I feel like a lot of people have a lot of opinions about situations they’ve never been in … I’m still going to shock people. I was even joking and saying: ‘Nadia, when your boyfriend comes, he needs to come here, we’re all a family.’

“I don’t get why South Africans are so scared of getting along. I think for a lot of South Africans it would have given them so much comfort if Kiernan and I never get along … Conflict is such a heavy burden to carry … I love everyone. I want to get along with everyone.”
