Rapper Saudi Says Xenophobia must fall

The South African rapper Saudi from South Africa sent a strong message to his fellow countrymen by speaking out against xenophobia.

The rapper expressed his opinions about the value of solidarity and unity among Africans on social media.

In his post, Saudi passionately declared, “Xenophobia Must Fall. Let’s Love, Protect and Respect our Mzansi. But Let’s Not be Africans ONLY when we’re in exile. Africa We are One.”

His remarks represent a forceful plea for South Africans to accept their African brothers and sisters, regardless of nationality, and to put an end to xenophobic beliefs and behaviours.

Saudi Arabia’s statement coincides with the contentious debate between Nigerians and South Africans that has been going on for more than a month because of Chidinma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, a former Miss SA finalist.

But most of the rapper’s followers weren’t pleased with the message.

Saudi, a well-known hip-hop artist in South Africa, serves as a reminder of the ability of music and public figures to promote change and a feeling of community. Saudi Arabia is urging everyone to acknowledge the shared humanity and connectivity that bind all Africans together by advocating for unity and calling for an end to xenophobia.
